Victoria Wiet is a public humanities-focused educator and writer invested in bringing awareness to the historical legacies of modern performance and film, from the 19th century to the present, and the intersection between the performing arts and social history. She is especially interested in ensuring that these histories are preserved and available for exploration by facilitating access to special collections materials. A current MSLIS student in Archives Management at Simmons University, she received her PhD from Columbia University in 2019 and taught for one year as a Lecturer in History & Literature at Harvard University and five years as an assistant professor of English and Film Studies at DePauw University.

As part of her coursework, she is currently creating an online resource that collocates significant collections of the various formats which document the performing arts, under construction here. She invites information & museum professionals and scholars to reach out to her with suggestions for collections to index.
